Known as Canada's premier horse racing track, Woodbine Racetrack stands as the only horse racing track in North America capable of staging thoroughbred and standard bred horse racing programs on the same day.

The track opened in 1956, is home to two of the three Canada's Triple Crown events: the Queen's Plate, the oldest continuously run stakes race, and the Breeders' Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown. The middle stakes race is the Prince of Wales Stakes which is run at Fort Erie Race Track.
