Formerly known as Waterford Park, Mountaineer Racetrack is a thoroughbred racetrack and casino located in Chester, West Virginia. The facility owned by MTR Gaming Group hosts over 200 race dates a year, including events running 5 nights per week from March through December.

After the construction of the casino and resort at Mountaineer, the quality of racing and number of live racing events held at the facility increased considerably. In fact, Mountaineer is currently one of the busiest Thoroughbred courses in the country with 217 racing dates scheduled for 2012.
